Being a Navy Officer

There are few occupations where you earn more trust and respect than those related to health care. And in the Navy, your nation’s admiration is a validation you’ll experience on a whole new level.

A leader among leaders. Most health-care fields involve entering the Navy as an Officer. That means setting an example for others. Taking on responsibilities beyond the work at hand. Holding an exclusive honor that few will ever know.

  • There is no Boot Camp required. Your advanced education and background mean you become an Officer upon completion of Officer Development School.
  • Officer Development School. Five weeks will give you a working knowledge of the Navy and teach you what it means to be a Navy Officer. While physical conditioning is required, the primary goal is to learn the fundamentals of leadership and ethics. It will help you learn more about yourself through teamwork while strengthening your character in the process.

A reputation for excellence. Prestige. Integrity. Courage. Add unrivaled management experience and Officer status to the picture. It’s an affiliation that will stay with you wherever you go.
